The Millustrator

The suite was built around a single watercolour of Isola del Garda seen from the lake, its Venetian Gothic villa and cypresses rising above the water as a Riva-style launch cuts across the foreground. That painting became the cover of the main invitation, tied with olive grosgrain ribbon and sealed in blush wax pressed with the couple’s monogram.

From there, each card carries the guest through the weekend. A painted map plots every venue around the lake, from Antica Cascina San Zago to the island itself. Wednesday’s welcome dinner appears behind hand-painted theatre curtains in soft rose, Friday’s pool party and brunch beneath striped parasols, and a smaller card, opening simply with Shhh…, quietly invites a chosen few to the after party at Torre San Marco. The same boat reappears throughout, a small detail that ties the set together, while flowing pointed-pen calligraphy carries every word and the RSVP card sends guests online, keeping the printed suite free of logistics.


A main invitation with watercolour cover, ribbon and wax seal, accompanied by an illustrated map of Lake Garda, cards for the Welcome Cocktail Dinner, Pool Party & Brunch and After Party, and an RSVP card, all arriving in a textured ivory envelope with a gold foiled monogram roundel on the flap and a liner that looks out through a Gothic arcade across the lake.

The points to confirm still stand: foil on the monogram, paper stock, credits for the illustrator and calligrapher, and the couple’s sign-off on venue names and dates.

Destination Wedding Invitation

Selasi

The design strips the traditional pack back to its essentials. A single confident red against soft white, clean numerals, double-ruled borders, and a heart that reads from across the table. Nothing added that didn’t earn its place, and nothing of the brand’s own language forced onto a card that already had a form of its own.

Each deck is tucked into a textured dark box, blind-finished on the outside and silver foiled with the Selasi mark on the lid. The box is as much part of the gift as the cards themselves — made to be lifted off the shelf, opened, and set down again at the end of the evening.

This suite opens with a deep red, textured envelope, its silhouette die-cut and edged in gold foil. Inside, a patterned digital lining sets the tone: rich, decorative, quietly opulent. The invitation itself is engraved on green card, paired with coordinating inserts and illustrated maps, each finished with fine die-cut detailing. A collection designed to feel steeped in history — romantic, intricate, and made for a celebration rooted in tradition.

, Van Cleef & Arpels crafted a dinner menu of exquisite elegance that reflected the performances throughout the festival. We utilised a unique material on the paper overboard, Suedel Luxe, to create the suede-like effect. The cover was then enhanced through the foiling process, followed by meticulous hand-finishing that included the addition of two beautiful silk tassels.

The Millustrator’s wedding suite combines whimsical hand-painted watercolours with meticulous craftsmanship across a grand gatefold format. Printed on tactile Tintoretto Neve by Fedrigoni and paired with richly toned Claret, Racing Green, and New Blue card stocks from G.F Smith, the design balances luxury with playful storytelling.

Inside, the gatefold opens to reveal a silver-engraved main invitation featuring Milly’s handwriting, an intricately illustrated map of the venue, a tri-fold information booklet, and a playful die-cut ski cabin. These elements are held in a bespoke pocket, shaped to echo the surrounding mountain range.

The suite is housed in a large, handmade envelope lined with a painted alpine watercolour for a final flourish.
